Understanding Storage in Movermate

Storage in MoverMate lets you manage storage jobs and units in one place, track move-in/out dates, capacity, and status, and use filters and quick actions to keep operations organised.

  1. Storage Jobs
    The Storage Job module in MoverMate allows you to manage and track all storage-related jobs, including warehouse allocation, storage units, and customer details.

You can access Storage from the left-hand menu:

  • Click Storage

  • Select Storage Jobs


2. Storage Jobs Table Overview

The Storage Jobs page displays a table of all storage records in your system.

  • Search bar- The search bar allows you to quickly find specific storage jobs by entering keywords such as name, phone number, email or job no. etc.


3. Filter Storage Jobs

The filter functionality helps you to narrow down storage jobs based on specific criteria so you can quickly focus on what matters.

  • Access Filters → Top right corner on Storage Job Table Page

You can filter storage jobs by:

  • Status (e.g. Active, In Progress)

  • Storage Type

  • Warehouse

  • Move In Date

    • Select condition (e.g. is equal to)

    • Choose date

  • Move Out Date

    • Select condition

    • Choose date

  • Click Apply to filter results or Reset all to clear filters.


4. Managing Columns

You can customize the Storage Job Table by choosing which columns to display or hide, allowing you to create a layout that fits your workflow.

How to Adjust Columns :

  • Click ‘Columns’

  • Use the toggles to enable or disable to show or hide columns based on your preferences.

  • Once you’ve made your selections, the table will automatically update to reflect the changes

  • You can also drag the columns up and down to adjust which columns come first to last in the storage table.

Each row represents a storage job with the following details:

  • Storage ID

  • Job No.

  • Warehouse (Warehouse name)

  • Customer (Customer name)

  • Storage Units (Unit no./name)

  • Type (e.g. Module, Container, Space)

  • Move In date

  • Move Out date

  • Volume (in m³)

  • Weight (in kgs)

  • Status (e.g. Active, Completed, Cancelled)

  • Notes

  • Created (Job creation date)


5. How to Create Storage Job

The Create Storage button allows you to quickly add a new storage entry in MoverMate. It guides you through selecting a customer and linking the storage to an existing job. You can then define key details such as warehouse, storage units, move-in and move-out dates, and storage type. This ensures all storage allocations are properly tracked and connected to your operations. It’s designed to make storage setup fast, organised, and easy to manage.

To create a new storage entry:

  1. Click + Create Storage (top right)

  2. The system will prompt you to Select a Customer or search an existing customer using the search bar

  3. Select the job you would like to assign the storage for

4. Once selected, proceed to configure the storage details.

  • Warehouse (e.g. Melbourne Storage Facility)

  • Storage type (e.g. Container, Self-storage)

  • Move In Date

  • Move Out Date

  • Total Volume (in m3)

  • Weight (in kgs)

5. Click on check availability, once clicked use search bar to check the available storage unit by Storage ID, name or location

6. Click on the available unit/units.

7. Click Save to add storage the System saves the storage which will also reflect in the Job Summary Page

8. You can assign multiple storage units to one job.


6. Storage Status

Each storage job includes a Status dropdown, allowing you to track progress.

Available statuses:

  • Active – Storage is currently ongoing

  • In Progress – Storage setup or movement is underway

  • Completed – Storage has been finalized

  • Cancelled – Storage job has been cancelled

You can update the status directly from the table using the dropdown.


7. Row Actions

Each storage record includes a three-dot menu (⋮)

Available Action

  • View Job – Opens the associated job where you can view all the details of the job related to the storage.
