1. Storage Units Overview
The Storage Units page displays a list of all available storage units in your system.
You can access this section from:
Storage → Storage Units
2. Search BarThe search bar allows you to quickly find specific storage units by entering keywords such as name, phone number, email or job no. etc.
3. Filter Storage UnitsThe filter functionality helps you to narrow down storage units based on specific criteria so you can quickly focus on what matters.
Access Filters → Top right corner on Storage Unit Table Page
You can filter storage units by:
Available Filters
Storage Type (e.g. Container, Module, Space)
Ownership (Owned, Leased, Borrowed)
Warehouse
Status (e.g. Available, Booked, Inactive)
Click Apply to filter or Reset all to clear filters.
Pro Tip: You can customize the columns as per your requirements.
4. Managing Columns
You can customize the Storage Unit Table by choosing which columns to display or hide, allowing you to create a layout that fits your workflow.
How to Adjust Columns :
Click ‘Columns’
Use the toggles to enable or disable to show or hide columns based on your preferences.
Once you’ve made your selections, the table will automatically update to reflect the changes
You can also drag the columns up and down to adjust which columns come first to last in the storage table.
Each row represents a storage unit with the following details:
Storage ID
Storage Name
Storage Type (e.g. Module, Container, Space, Self Storage)
Warehouse (Assigned warehouse name)
Warehouse Coordinates (Position within the warehouse X, Y, Z)
Ownership (Owned, Leased, Borrowed)
Capacity (Storage size in m³)
Notes
Creation Date
Status (Current availability of the unit - Available, Booked, Inactive etc.
5. Add a Storage Unit
The Add Storage button allows you to quickly create a new storage unit in MoverMate. It opens a form where you can define key details such as storage type, ID, name, capacity, and status. You can also assign a warehouse, set coordinates, and specify ownership for better organisation. This ensures each storage unit is clearly structured and ready to be allocated to storage jobs. It simplifies setup and keeps your storage system organised and efficient.
To create a new storage unit:
Click + Add Storage (top right)
The Add Storage Unit panel will open
Fill out the details -
Required Fields
Type (Select storage type - Module, Container, etc.)
ID
Name (Storage unit name)
Capacity (Enter capacity in m³)
Status (Select current status - Available, Booked, etc.)
Optional Fields
Warehouse (Assign a warehouse)
Warehouse Coordinates (Define position using X, Y, Z)
Notes (Add additional details)
Materials & Equipment (Add related items if needed- Packing boxes, Plastic wrap, etc.)
Ownership (Choose: Owned, Leased or Borrowed)
4. Click Add Storage Unit to save and the System saves the storage unit details
6. Storage Unit Status
Each unit includes a Status dropdown that can be updated directly from the table.
Available statuses:
Available – Ready to be assigned
Booked – Currently allocated to a job
Inactive – Not in use
Maintenance – Under maintenance or unavailable
Partially Booked – Partially occupied
Unknown/New – Not yet categorized
Row Actions
Each storage unit includes a three-dot menu (⋮)
Available Actions
Edit – Modify storage unit details
Delete – Remove the storage unit
Export Data
Click Export to download storage unit data for reporting or external use.
7. Managing Storage Units: Edit and Delete
The Edit and Delete options in Storage Units allow you to manage existing storage entries efficiently. The Edit option lets you update details such as capacity, status, warehouse, or ownership to keep information accurate and up to date. The Delete option allows you to remove storage units that are no longer needed or were created by mistake. These actions help maintain a clean and well-organised storage system.
How to Edit a Storage Unit
Open the Storage Unit Table:
From the main navigation menu, click Storage → Storage Unit to open the Storage Unit Table.
2. Locate the Unit:
Find the unit you want to update using search, filters, or scrolling.
3. Edit the Unit:
Click the three dots (⋮) at the end of the Unit row.
Select Edit from the dropdown menu.
4. Update the Necessary Fields:
You can modify details such as:
Unit type
Storage ID
Name
Capacity
Status
Warehouse
Warehouse Coordinates
Notes
Materials & Equipments
Ownership
5. Save Changes: Click Save to apply and update the Storage Unit.
How to Delete a Storage Unit
Open the Storage Unit Table:
From the main navigation menu, click Storage → Storage Unit to open the Storage Unit Table.¸Locate the Unit to Delete:
Find the unit you want to delete.Delete the Unit:
Click the three dots (⋮) next to the unit.
Select Delete from the dropdown menu.
Confirm the Deletion:
Confirm when prompted.
