Overview
Sometimes Job details need to be updated after a booking has been created. You may need to change the service date, update addresses, correct scheduling information or make changes to a Job that has already started or been completed.
Movermate allows your team to manage Job information and access relevant actions based on the Job's current stage.
This guide explains how to edit existing Jobs, restore deleted records, review accidentally started Jobs and reopen completed Jobs.
1. How to Edit an Existing Job
You can review and update Job information when a customer requests changes or booking details need correcting.
Go to Jobs.
Search for the required Job.
Open the Job details.
Locate the section containing the information you want to change.
Click the available Edit option.
Update the required information.
Click Save to apply your changes.
Depending on the Job, you may need to update:
Customer or contact information
Job date and time
Pickup and drop-off addresses
Job type or service details
Booking notes
Truck and crew assignments
Important: After editing a Job, review its scheduling information and any related customer communications to ensure the details are correct.
2. How to Correct an Accidentally Started Job
If a Job was started accidentally, review its current progress before making corrections.
For example, a crew member may have selected Start Job before the service actually began.
What to Check
Go to Jobs.
Open the affected Job.
Review its current status and operational information.
Check the recorded start time and crew activity.
Under Suggested Actions, click Actions.
Review the available corrective actions.
The Reset Jobsheet option may be available in the Actions menu, depending on the Job's current state.
Important: Before using Reset Jobsheet, confirm whether it resets the Jobsheet, recorded crew activity or the Job's operational progress. Do not assume it will automatically return an ongoing Job to its previous status.
If you are unsure how to correct the Job, contact Movermate Support before resetting it.
3. How to Restore a Deleted Job or Lead
If a Job or Lead is accidentally deleted, you can restore it from the Deleted Logs section in Movermate.
Steps to Restore a Deleted Job or Lead
Go to Settings.
Under System & Integrations, select Deleted Logs.
Find the deleted Job or Lead using the Search bar.
Review the record details, including Type, Job ID, Customer Name, Deleted By and Deleted Date.
Click the Restore icon (circular arrow) on the right side of the required record.
Follow any on-screen confirmation prompts.
Return to Jobs or Leads and verify that the record is available again.
How to Find a Deleted Record
If you cannot find the required Job or Lead:
Use the Search bar to look for the Job ID or customer.
Click Filter to narrow the results.
Select the required filter conditions, such as Creation Date.
Click Apply.
Review the matching records and restore the correct one.
Important Reminders
Deleted Logs contains records for both Jobs and Leads.
Check the Type and Job ID before restoring a record.
Review Deleted By and Deleted Date to identify the correct record.
Restore the original record rather than creating a duplicate Job or Lead.
After restoration, review the record details to ensure everything is correct.
If you cannot locate or restore the required record, contact Movermate Support with the Job ID or Lead reference.
4. How to Review a Completed Job
When a Job is marked as COMPLETED, it appears in the Completed view of the Jobs section.
To review a completed Job:
Go to Jobs.
Click the Completed tab at the top of the Jobs table.
Find the required Job using the Search bar.
Click the Customer Name to open the Job.
Review the Job details, scheduling information, activity logs, crew records and financial information, where available.
5. How to Reopen a Completed Job
If a Job was marked as completed accidentally or requires further changes, you can reopen it directly from the CRM.
Steps to Reopen a Completed Job
Go to Jobs.
Open the Completed view.
Search for the required Job.
Click the Customer Name to open the Job.
Under Suggested Actions, click Actions.
Select Reopen Job.
Follow any on-screen confirmation prompts.
Review the updated Job status and make the required changes.
What Happens When a Job Is Reopened?
Once the Job is reopened, review its updated status and use the available editing options to make the required corrections.
Check the Job's scheduling details, recorded activity and any existing operational or financial records to ensure everything is correct.
Important: Reopen Job and Reset Jobsheet are different actions. Reopening a Job should not be assumed to reset its recorded crew activity, timesheets, invoices or payments.
6. Review Job Activity After Making Changes
After updating a Job, review the relevant records to confirm the changes have been applied correctly.
Go to Jobs.
Open the required Job.
Select Activity Logs.
Review the available records and timestamps.
Check the updated Job information.
Confirm that the Job's scheduling and operational details are correct.
Important Reminders
Always verify the Job ID before making changes.
Review the Job's current stage before editing operational information.
Changes to Job dates, addresses or assignments may affect scheduling.
Check recorded crew activity before correcting an accidentally started Job.
Do not assume Reset Jobsheet is equivalent to resetting a Job status.
Use Deleted Logs to restore accidentally deleted Jobs or Leads.
Use Reopen Job when a completed Job requires further attention.
Review the relevant activity records after making changes.
