Using this feature, users can import jobs from their existing system into MoverMate to streamline operations and ensure efficient job management. Jobs can be imported from any source using CSV or XLSX format, making it easy to integrate data into the system.
Step-by-Step Guide to Importing Jobs
Step 1: Open the Jobs Section
Log in to your MoverMate account.
Navigate to the Jobs section in the left-hand menu.
Click on the Import button at the top-right corner to begin the process.
Step 2: Upload Your File
Click Upload or Drag and Drop your jobs file into the designated area.
Ensure your file is in CSV or XLSX format.
Make sure the first row of your file contains the column names—this helps in mapping fields correctly in the next step.
If needed, download the sample file to format your data correctly before uploading.
Once uploaded, MoverMate will display a confirmation screen with the file name and size.
Click Continue to proceed to the mapping step.
Step 3: Map Your Data Fields
MoverMate will prompt you to match your file's columns with the system’s predefined fields.
Mandatory Fields:
Job Type – This field is required and must be one of the following categories: Moving, Packing, or Unpacking. Any other value will not be accepted.
Job Timing – Must be one of these values: Morning, Afternoon, or All Day.
Customer Name – The name of the customer for the job.
Email – A valid email address for the customer.
Phone Number – A valid contact number.
Other Common Fields:
Pickup & Dropoff Locations – Origin and destination of the move.
Job Date – If provided, it must be formatted as YYYY-MM-DD (Year-Month-Date). Incorrect formatting may cause errors.
Assigned Crew – The team handling the job.
If a field is irrelevant, click Skip this cell to exclude it from the import.
Once mapping is complete, click Continue to proceed.
Step 4: Review & Handle Errors
If there are errors in the data, they will appear on the screen.
You can filter errors to resolve them directly in the interface.
Once all errors are fixed, click Continue to start the import process.
If you need to stop the import at any time, click Stop Import.
The jobs will be imported one by one as the system verifies the data.
If some entries are invalid, MoverMate will reject them. You can download the rejected records by clicking Rejected Records to review and correct them.
Troubleshooting Tips
Incorrect File Format: Ensure your file is in CSV or XLSX format.
Missing Mandatory Fields: Make sure that Job Type, Job Timing, Customer Name, Email, and Phone Number are included.
Invalid Job Type: If an error occurs, check that the Job Type is one of the three allowed categories (Moving, Packing, or Unpacking).
Mapping Errors: If fields don’t match correctly, return to the mapping step and realign them.
Duplicate Data: Remove duplicates before uploading to maintain data integrity.
