The Import Leads feature in MoverMate allows you to quickly bring leads from your existing systems into the CRM, ensuring no potential customer is missed. You can import leads from any source using CSV or XLSX files, making data migration fast and flexible.
Step-by-Step Guide to Importing Leads
Step 1: Open the Leads Section
Log in to your Movermate account.
Navigate to the Leads section in the left-hand menu.
Click on the Import button at the top-right corner to begin the process.
Step 2: Upload Your File
Click Upload, or drag and drop your file into the upload area.
Ensure the file is in CSV or XLSX format.
Make sure the first row of your file contains the column names, this helps in mapping fields correctly in the next step.

Once uploaded, Movermate will display a confirmation screen with the file name and size.
Click Continue to proceed to the mapping step.
Step 3: Map Your Data Fields
Movermate will prompt you to match your file's columns with the system’s predefined fields.
Mandatory Fields:
The following field is required for a successful import:
First Name – Required for every lead
Conditionally Validated Fields
The fields below are optional, but if provided must follow the correct format:
Email Address – Must be a valid email format
Job Type – If provided, it must match one of the supported values:
Moving
Packing
Unpacking
Other Common Fields:
You can also map additional details to enrich your lead records:
Last Name – Customer’s surname
Phone Number – Valid contact number
Pickup Address – Origin address
Drop-off Address – Destination address
Job Date – Must be formatted as YYYY-MM-DD
Lead Source – e.g. Google Ads, Referral, Call Inquiry
If a field is irrelevant, click Skip this cell to exclude it from the import.
Once mapping is complete, click Continue to proceed.
Import Progress, Pause & Stop Options
During the import process, MoverMate displays a real-time progress indicator so you can track how many leads have been processed.
Pause Import – Temporarily pause the import if you need to review something or step away. You can resume the import at any time.
Stop Import – Completely stop the import process. Any leads already imported will remain in the system, while remaining records will not be processed.
⚠️ Please do not close the browser window while the import is running, as this may interrupt the process.
Step 4: Review & Handle Errors
If any issues are detected, errors will be shown on the screen.
You can filter and review errors directly in the interface.
Fix any issues and click Continue to proceed.
During the import:
Leads are processed one by one as the system validates each record.
Invalid entries will be rejected automatically.
You can download rejected entries using Rejected Records to review and correct them.
To stop the import at any time, click Stop Import.
Troubleshooting Tips
Incorrect File Format – Ensure the file is CSV or XLSX
Missing Mandatory Fields – Confirm First Name, Email, and Job Type are included
Invalid Job Type – Only Moving, Packing, or Unpacking are accepted
Incorrect Date Format – Use YYYY-MM-DD for Job Date
Mapping Errors – Revisit the mapping step and realign fields
Duplicate Records – Remove duplicates before uploading to keep your CRM clean
Importing leads helps you transition smoothly into MoverMate while preserving valuable customer data. Once imported, leads can be managed, estimated, booked, and tracked just like leads created directly inside the system.
