You can also use the Search field or filter option to locate a particular job or activity.

Understanding Job Cards

Assigned jobs appear as cards on the Home screen.

Depending on the information configured for the job, a card can display:

  • Customer name

  • Job date

  • Scheduled time

  • Job ID

  • Job type

  • Crew information

  • Vehicle information

  • Address

  • Call Customer

  • Assigned Movers

Each assigned mover is displayed with their assigned role, such as:

  • DRIVER

  • FIELD_CREW

  • OFFSIDER

A star beside an assigned mover identifies the team leader for that job.

Record Time Against a Job

The controls available on a job depend on whether you are the team leader or another assigned crew member.

If You Are the Team Leader

The team leader controls the overall job workflow.

Before the job begins, available controls can include:

  • On the Way

  • Start Job

Once the job has started, the available controls change as the job progresses.

On the Way

Tap On the Way when travelling to the customer’s location.

The action is recorded in your activity history.

Start Job

Tap Start Job when work begins.

The job then begins recording working time.

Pause

Tap Pause when the job temporarily stops.

If the pause is being used as a break, the break is automatically synchronized with your active Timesheet.

Resume

When work begins again, tap Resume.

End Job

When the work has been completed, tap End Job.

If You Are Not the Team Leader

Crew members who are not controlling the overall job workflow can record their own working hours using the personal work timer displayed at the bottom of the job screen.

The timer displays:

  • Hours

  • Minutes

  • Pause control

  • Stop control

It also includes the following message:

For timesheet use only — this timer records your worked hours. It is not used for job payment or collection.

The personal timer records your own timesheet hours only. It does not control the job status for the rest of the crew.

Use:

  • Pause when you temporarily stop working

  • Resume when you continue

  • Stop when you finish your work on the job

A confirmation is displayed before your work session is ended.

Record an Activity

Activities can be used for work that is not recorded as a customer job.

To open an assigned activity:

  1. Go to Home → Today.

  2. Find the required activity.

  3. Tap the activity card.

The Activity screen can display:

  • Activity Name

  • Activity ID

  • Date

  • Address

  • Estimated Start Time

  • Estimated End Time

  • Additional Notes

Start an Activity

Tap Start when you begin working on the activity.

Once started, the activity begins recording time against your Timesheet.

Pause an Activity

Tap Pause when work temporarily stops.

If the pause represents a break, it is synchronized with your active Timesheet automatically.

Resume an Activity

Tap Resume when you continue the activity.

End an Activity

Tap End Job when the activity has been completed.

Confirm Your Activity Time

After ending an activity, you may be asked to review the time recorded for the activity.

The confirmation form includes:

  • Activity Start

  • Activity End

  • Break Hours

  • Total Hours

Review the recorded information and make any required corrections before selecting Done.

Note: The recorded activity must have a duration greater than zero. If the start and end times are the same, the activity cannot be completed until a valid time range is entered.

Managing Breaks

Breaks in the Movermate Crew App are synchronized across your shift, Jobs, Activities, and Timesheet.

This helps prevent the same break from being recorded or calculated more than once.

Where you start a break depends on what you are currently working on.

When a Job Is Active

If you are currently working on a Job, start and end your break from the Job screen.

When you start a break from a Job:

  • The break is recorded against the Job.

  • Your active Timesheet automatically changes to an on-break state.

  • The break remains linked to the Job.

  • The Time Sheet screen reflects that you are currently on break.

  • You do not need to create another break from the Time Sheet screen.

When you resume the Job, the break is updated automatically and your working time continues.

When an Activity Is Active

If you are currently working on an Activity, start and end the break from the Activity screen.

When you start a break from an Activity:

  • The break is recorded against the Activity.

  • Your active Timesheet automatically reflects the break.

  • The break remains associated with that Activity.

  • You do not need to create another break separately.

When you resume the Activity, the break is updated automatically.

Starting a Break from the Time Sheet Screen

The Start Break option on the Time Sheet screen is only available when you do not have an active Job or Activity.

Use this option for a general or unassigned break between work sessions.

For example, if you have finished one Job and have not yet started your next Job or Activity, you can start a break directly from the Time Sheet screen.

If a Job or Activity is currently active, the Start Break option is hidden.

Start the break from the active Job or Activity instead.

This ensures that the break is associated with the correct work session and prevents a separate duplicate break from being created.

One Common Shift Break

Your Timesheet maintains one overall break state for your shift.

When a break starts from a Job or Activity, your active Timesheet automatically reflects that you are on break.

You do not need to start the same break again from another part of the Crew App.

When the break ends, the same break status is updated throughout your Timesheet.

When a Job and Activity Overlap

In some cases, you may have a Job and an Activity running during overlapping periods.

Each Job or Activity can retain its own break information while your shift maintains one common break state.

For example:

Time

Job

Activity

Timesheet Break

3:00 PM

Break Starts

Starts

3:10 PM

On Break

Break Starts

Remains Active

3:30 PM

Break Ends

On Break

Remains Active

3:45 PM

Break Ends

Ends

In this example, your overall shift break runs from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM.

The Timesheet does not count the overlapping break period twice.

Your shift remains on break while at least one associated Job or Activity break is still active.

Multiple Breaks

You can take multiple breaks during the same Job or Activity.

Each break is recorded using its actual start and end time.

For example:

JOB3644 – Merrill Caldwell

07:14 PM – 07:55 PM

  • Work: 07:14 PM – 07:30 PM

  • Break: 07:30 PM – 07:35 PM

  • Work: 07:35 PM – 07:45 PM

  • Break: 07:45 PM – 07:50 PM

  • Work: 07:50 PM – 07:55 PM

Total Duration: 41 minutes
Total Break: 10 minutes
Net Working Time: 31 minutes

How Breaks Appear in Daily Breakdown

Breaks are displayed chronologically and indicate which Job or Activity they relate to.

For example:

Job

JOB2135 – Customer Name
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
3 hours

Break – JOB2135
3:00 PM – 3:30 PM
30 minutes

Activity

Activity – Packing
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Break – Activity: Packing
3:15 PM – 3:30 PM
15 minutes

A break started directly from the Time Sheet screen while no Job or Activity is active appears as an unassigned break.

This allows you to identify where each break occurred during your working day.

How Break Time Is Calculated

Movermate calculates break duration using the actual recorded timestamps.

For a Job or Activity:

Total Duration = End Time − Start Time

Total Break Duration = Total unique break time

Net Working Time = Total Duration − Total Break Duration

For example:

Job Start: 7:14 PM
Job End: 7:55 PM
Total Duration: 41 minutes

Break: 7:30 PM – 7:35 PM
Total Break: 5 minutes

Net Working Time: 36 minutes

Movermate calculates time using the actual timestamps, including seconds.

Rounding is applied only to the final displayed values. Individual work and break periods are not rounded separately.

This helps ensure that the total recorded time matches the Daily Breakdown.

Important Break Rules

  • Start a break from the active Job when working on a Job.

  • Start a break from the active Activity when working on an Activity.

  • Start a break from the Time Sheet screen only when no Job or Activity is active.

  • You do not need to record the same break in multiple places.

  • Breaks started from Jobs or Activities automatically update your active Timesheet.

  • Only one overall Timesheet break state is maintained at a time.

  • Overlapping Job and Activity breaks are not double-counted in your overall break time.

  • Multiple breaks can be recorded during the same Job or Activity.

  • Review your breaks in the Daily Breakdown before submitting your Timesheet.

Review Your Detailed Time Entries

From the Time Sheet screen, tap the main elapsed-time counter to open the detailed Time Entries view.

This screen provides a more detailed breakdown of your working day.

At the top, you can review:

  • CLOCK IN

  • ELAPSED

  • CLOCK OUT

Below this, the Timesheet summary displays:

  • Work

  • Break

  • Gaps
