Postmark Integration & Configuration in Movermate

Integrating Postmark with Movermate allows you to receive emails directly into Movermate. This integration is primarily used for inbound email processing, allowing incoming emails to be received and managed within Movermate.

Important: After registering for Postmark, you need to upgrade to the Pro plan or purchase the required Pro plan subscription before completing the integration and using the required Postmark features.

Step 1: Create a Postmark Account

Access Postmark

Go to the Postmark website.

Click Start Free Trial or Register to create your Postmark account.

Fill in the required details:

  • Full Name

  • Work Email

  • Username

  • Password

Click Let's Get Started.

You will be redirected to the Postmark Home page.

Click Request Approval and wait for the approval from Postmark.

Once approved proceed for the next step.


Step 2: Upgrade to the Postmark Pro Plan

After registering your Postmark account:

  1. Navigate to Account.

  2. Select Plans & Add-ons.

  3. Scroll down to view the available plans.

  4. Select the Pro Plan or the required paid subscription.

  5. Complete the required payment and subscription process.

Once the Pro Plan is active, continue with the Postmark configuration.

Note: A Pro plan or the required paid Postmark subscription may be necessary to use the features required for the Movermate integration.


Step 3: Create a Postmark Server

From the Postmark Home page:

Click Create Server.

Enter a name for your server in the Name your server field.

For example:

Test Server

Click Create Server.

Your Postmark Server will now be created.


Step 4: Verify Sender Signature and DNS Settings

Navigate to Sender Signatures using the navigation link at the top.

Click DNS Settings.

Locate the following options:

  • DKIM

  • Return-Path

Before verifying these records in Postmark, you need to add the required DNS records to your domain hosting provider, such as GoDaddy.

Add DNS Records to Your Domain Hosting Platform

Log in to your domain hosting platform, such as GoDaddy.

Navigate to your domain's DNS Management or DNS Records section.

Click Add New Record.

Add the required DNS records provided by Postmark.

  1. Enter the required details, such as:

    • Name

    • Value

  2. Click Save All Records.

Once the DNS records have been added and saved successfully, return to Postmark.

Click Verify for both DKIM and Return-Path.


Step 5: Configure the Default Inbound Stream

Navigate back to Servers using the navigation link at the top.

Click the Postmark Server you created.

For example:

Test Server

Click Default Inbound Stream.

You will need to configure the following:

1. Get Your Server's Inbound Email Address

Copy or note the Inbound Email Address provided by Postmark.

This address will be used to receive inbound emails through Postmark.

2. Set Your Server's Inbound Webhook URL

Enter the Inbound Webhook URL provided by Movermate.

To get the webhook URL:

Log in to Movermate.

Navigate to Settings → Apps Integration.

Locate Postmark.

Turn the Postmark toggle ON.

Copy the Webhook URL displayed in the Postmark integration settings.

Return to Postmark and paste the Movermate Inbound Webhook URL into the required field.

Click Launch the Demo to complete the inbound webhook configuration.


Step 6: Get the Postmark Server API Token

Navigate back to Servers using the navigation link at the top.

Select the Postmark Server you created.

Navigate to API Tokens.

Copy the Server API Token.

You will need this token to connect Postmark with Movermate.


Step 7: Connect Postmark to Movermate

Log in to your Movermate account.

Navigate to:

Settings → Apps Integration

Locate Postmark.

Turn the Postmark toggle ON.

Enter the required details:

  • Server API Token: Paste the Server API Token copied from Postmark.

  • Inbound Address: Enter the Inbound Email Address configured in Postmark.

  • Sender Name: Enter the sender's name.

  • Sender Email: Enter the sender's email address.

Review the information entered to ensure all details are correct.

Click Connect Postmark.


Step 8: Verify the Connection

Once the connection is successful, confirm that the Postmark integration is enabled in Movermate.

Postmark is now connected to Movermate and configured to process inbound emails.

You can now use Postmark to receive inbound emails in Movermate based on your configured integration and webhook settings.
