This guide explains how to create custom email templates in Movermate using the Visual Email Editor. You can design professional email templates for various actions like invoices, estimates, and more. These templates are customisable, allowing you to incorporate your branding and style.
How to Create an Email Template Using the Visual Editor
Creating an email template using the visual editor allows you to design personalised, professional-looking emails for your business. The visual editor is intuitive, allowing for drag-and-drop functionality to add elements like buttons, images, text, and more.
Step-by-Step Guide to Creating an Email Template:
Step 1: Navigate to the Email Template Section
From the MoverMate Dashboard, go to the Settings section.
Click on Email Template under the Template tab.
Step 2: Choose Your Template Type
Step 3: Name Your Template
Enter the Template Name and Subject Name at the top of the editor.
Note: The subject name will be populated in the subject of the email
Step 4: Start Building Your Template

Adjust Content:
Once your content is added, you can customize it. For example, click on the text to change the font size or style, or click on a button to update the text or link.
Customize Background:
Under the Row Properties on the right panel, you can adjust the background color or upload background images to personalize the look of your email.
Step 5: Using Dynamic Merge Tags in Your Email Template
Access the Text Block
In the Email Template Editor, click on the Text block where you want to add dynamic content (e.g., the recipient's name or other personalized information).Open the Merge Tags Dropdown
Right-click inside the text box. A context menu will appear. From this menu, select the Merge Tags dropdown.Select a Dynamic Tag
The dropdown will display a list of available merge tags, such as:[Customer First Name]
[Customer Last Name]
[Company Name]
Insert the Merge Tag
Click on the desired merge tag, and it will automatically be inserted into the text box at the cursor position. You can now place this tag wherever you want personalized content to appear.

Step 6 (Optional): Inserting CTA Links with Merge Tags
Select the CTA Button or Link
In your email template, click on the Button or Text block where you want to add a call-to-action (CTA) link (e.g., Inventory, Booking, or Job Sheet link).Open Link Settings
For a Button, right-click the button column. For a Text block, highlight the text you want to turn into a link and click the Link button.Insert Dynamic Merge Tag for URL
In the URL field, paste the appropriate merge tag, such as:[InventoryLink] for the inventory URL
[BookingLink] for the booking URL
[JobSheetLink] for the crew's job sheet URL
Choose Link Target
Decide whether you want the link to open in a new tab or the same tab:To open in a new tab, select the Target: New Tab option.
To open in the same tab, select Target: Same Tab.
Save Changes
After inserting the merge tag and selecting the link target, click Save to apply the changes to the button or text.Preview the CTA Link
In the email preview, verify that the dynamic URL has been applied correctly and that the CTA works as expected.
Step 7: Add More Design Elements
Columns: You can arrange content in columns to make your template more organized.
Simply drag the Columns block and divide the section into multiple parts.
Padding and Border: Adjust the padding and border settings of your sections to control the spacing.
Step 8: Preview Your Template
Once you’re happy with your design, it’s important to preview how the template will appear on different devices.
Click on the Eye Icon:

Click on the device type you want to preview your template on. This adjusts the width of your email to match the screen size of the chosen device.
Preview on Multiple Devices:
Check how your email template looks on different screen sizes to ensure it’s responsive. Make any necessary adjustments to optimize the layout for mobile or desktop.
Step 9: Save Your Template
Once you’re satisfied with the design and preview, click Save to save your template.
Note: These templates will be populated in the template library (when you compose emails).
