How to Edit Truck Details in Movermate

To edit truck details in Movermate, there are two options available for managing truck data: Option 1: Edit from the Truck List (Outside Table) and Option 2: Edit from the Truck Summary Page. Here’s how each option works:

Edit from the Truck List (Outside Table)

This option allows you to make quick edits to truck details directly from the truck list in the main resources section.

Steps:

  1. Access the Truck List
    Navigate to the Resources section in the sidebar and select Trucks. This will open a table listing all the trucks.

  2. Find the Truck
    Use the search bar or scroll through the list to find the specific truck you want to edit.

  3. Click Edit icon

    Click the Edit icon next to the employee’s name. A dropdown menu will appear with the following options:

    • Edit Vehicle Details: Allows you to update basic truck information like registration number, manufacturer, model, and capacity.

    • Edit Service Details: Modify service-related information such as odometer reading, next service due date, and registration expiry.

    • Edit Insurance Details: Change insurance details, including the insurance company, policy number, and renewal date.

  4. Update Information
    A new form will open, allowing you to modify the fields. After making changes, click Save & Close to apply the updates.


Edit from the Truck Summary Page

This option gives you more detailed control over the truck’s information, offering an in-depth view of the truck's profile and all sections.

Steps:

  1. Select a Truck
    From the Trucks list, click on the name or the Edit icon of the truck whose details you want to update. This will open the truck's Summary Page.

  2. Navigate Between Sections

    The Truck Summary Page includes multiple sections to manage different aspects of the truck’s profile:

    • Unavailability – Mark the truck as unavailable for specific periods.

    • Documents – Upload and manage truck-related documents.

  3. Edit Truck Details

    • General Info: Click Edit in the Overview section to update name, manufacturer, model, and capacity.

    • Service Info: Click Edit in Service Information to update odometer, next service date, and registration expiry.

    • Insurance Info: Click Edit in Insurance Information to update policy number, insurance company, and renewal date.

    4. Mark Truck as Unavailable

    • Navigate to Unavailability

    • Click + Add Unavailability

    • Enter dates and reason

    • Click Save.

    5. Manage Documents

    • Go to Documents

    • Upload or remove files (PDF, DOCX, PNG, JPG, max 5MB)

    • Click Save.
