Adding Custom Inventory Items (CRM)

Overview: If an item isn’t in the inventory list, you can add it yourself as a custom item. Your customer can add custom items too, from the inventory link you send them.

1. Add a Custom Item in the CRM

  1. Open the Lead or Job Summary.

  2. Click the Inventory tab.

  3. Click + Add Inventory. If the job already has an inventory, click Edit instead.

  4. On the Add Inventory page, click + Add Custom Item.

2. Fill In the Item Details

A panel opens on the right. Fill in:

  1. Item Name (required). For example, Custom Item.

  2. Category Type (required). Choose the category the item belongs to, for example Bedrooms/Study or Dining.

  3. Length, Width and Height (cm). These are optional.

  4. Volume (m³) (required). For example, 0.012.

  5. Click Create.

Tip: You can enter the total volume straight in. You don’t need to add the length, width and height.

3. Check the Item in the List

The custom item shows in the category you chose, for example Dining, with its volume. Use + and −, or type in the box, to set the quantity. The red bin icon removes it.

Note: Custom items don’t have a picture. They show with a box icon instead.

4. Save the Inventory

Click Save. The custom item shows on the Inventory tab, under its category, and counts towards the Total Items and Total Volume.

5. Your Customer Can Add Custom Items Too

When you send your customer the inventory link, they can add items that aren’t on the list.

  1. Send the inventory link. See Sending the Inventory Link to a Customer.

  2. The customer opens the link.

  3. They scroll to the bottom of the list.

  4. They click + Add Custom Item.

Custom items added by the customer don’t have a picture either. They show with the same box icon.
