Unscheduled Jobs, Multi-Day Jobs & Reopening a Job: Use Cases (CRM)

Overview: You can now create jobs before a date is confirmed, run jobs across several days, and reopen a completed job without recreating it. This article explains how each feature works in the CRM and when to use it.

  • Unscheduled Jobs: Create a job without a date and schedule it later.

  • Multi-Day Jobs: Set a job type to run over a date range instead of a single day.

  • Reopen Job: Move a Completed job back to Assigned or Unassigned, keeping its crew and truck.

Who can use this: Users with access to Jobs, the Calendar and Job Configuration. Your role permissions apply.

1. Unscheduled Jobs

A job no longer needs a date to be created. Until a date is set, it carries an Unscheduled status and waits in a dedicated list so it is not lost.

How it works

  • Before this release, a date was required to create a job. Now you can leave it blank.

  • A job without a date shows an Unscheduled status badge in the Jobs list.

  • On the Calendar (Job Calendar), these jobs appear in the Unscheduled tab in the right-hand panel. Each card shows the job number, job type, customer name and the options to Add Date, Add Time, Add Address, View Job and Assign Job.

To schedule an unscheduled job

  1. Open Jobs and select the job, or open it from the Unscheduled tab on the Calendar.

  2. In Job Details, click Edit.

  3. Under Job Date, select the date in the calendar picker and click Apply.

  4. Choose a Time Slot if needed, then click Save Changes.

  5. Assign a crew or truck when you are ready. The status then changes with the job’s assignments, as it does for any other job.

2. Multi-Day Jobs

Multi-day support is set per job type. Each job type is either a Single date (one day) or a Date range (multiple days).

Step 1: Set up the job type

  1. Go to Settings → Job Configuration → Job Types.

  2. Select an existing job type, or add a new one.

  3. Under Date setup, choose one:

    • Single date: One day.

    • Date range: Multiple days.

  4. Click Save.

Example: The Cleaning job type is set to Date range. Cleaning jobs often run over a few days, so every Cleaning job can now be given a start day and an end day.

Step 2: Use it on a job

Once a job type is set to Date range, the date field works for a range on any job of that type. This applies when you:

  • Create a lead.

  • Create a job.

  • Edit Job Details on an existing lead or job.

  1. Select the Job Type that is set to Date range.

  2. Open the Job Date field. The calendar opens so you can pick a range.

  3. Click the first day, then click the last day.

  4. Click Apply.

  5. Save the lead or job.

The range then shows as the job’s date, for example 29/10/2026 - 31/10/2026. It shows the same way in Job Details and in the Job Date column of the Jobs list.

If the job type is set to Single date, the calendar lets you pick one day, as before.

Good to know

  • Date setup is a required field on the job type.

  • The actual dates are not chosen on the job type. You choose them when you add the stage to a job.

  • Use Date range for job types that normally run over more than one day, such as interstate moves. Keep Single date for local jobs that finish in a day.

3. Reopening a Job

Reopen Job moves a Completed job back into the active workflow, and it keeps the crew and truck already assigned. It is available only on jobs with Completed status.
