How to Send Text Messages from Movermate CRM

MoverMate CRM allows you to send SMS messages to customers, drivers, and team members directly from the platform. Messages can be sent from two main areas:

  • Activity Logs (within Leads or Jobs)

  • Communication > Messages

This guide walks you through both methods.

Sending Messages from Activity Logs (Lead/Job Details Page)

This option is best when a message is related to a specific lead or job. All messages sent this way are automatically recorded in the activity timeline.

Steps to Send an SMS from Activity Logs

  1. Go to the "Leads" or "Jobs" Section

    • Navigate to the left sidebar and click on Leads or Jobs.

    • Select the relevant lead or job.

  2. Open the "Activity Logs" Tab

    Click on the Activity Logs tab within the lead or job details.

  3. Click on "Message"

    Locate the Message button and click on it.

  4. Confirm Sender and Recipient

    • The From number is automatically set to your default company SMS number.

    • If a phone number is already saved on the lead or job, the To field will be auto-populated.

  5. Choose a Template or Type a Custom Message

    You can select a predefined message template from the dropdown or type a custom message.

  6. Send the Message

    • Click Send to dispatch the SMS.

    • The message will now appear in the activity log for future reference.


Sending Messages from the Text Messages Section (Communication Module)

This method allows you to send and manage conversations under the Communication module.

Steps to Send an SMS from Text Messages

  1. Go to the "Messages" Section

    Click on Communication > Messages from the left sidebar.

  2. Start a New Message

    Click the "+" button at the top to start a new message.

  3. Enter the Recipient’s Details

    • Type the recipient’s name or phone number.

    • You can also select from the suggested contacts list.

  4. Assign the Conversation to a Sales Representative (Mandatory Step)

    Ensure that the conversation is assigned to a sales representative so it can be tracked properly.

  5. Select the "From" Number

    Choose which company number the SMS will be sent from.

  6. Type a Custom Message

    Enter your message in the text box before sending.

  7. Send the Message

    • Click Send to deliver the SMS.

    • The conversation will appear in the Messages list for ongoing communication and follow-up.
