How to Take a Deposit in Movermate
Updated this week

Taking a deposit is a crucial part of securing a job in Movermate. Whether you're handling it directly from the CRM system or giving your customer the option to pay via a booking confirmation link, the process is simple and efficient. Below are the steps to take a deposit from a customer:

From Movermate CRM System

Step 1: Navigate to the Leads Section

  • From the left-side menu, click on Leads.

  • Select the lead you want to take a deposit for.

  • This will open the Lead Summary Page.

Step 2: Initiate the Deposit Collection

  • Click on the Actions button in the Suggested Actions panel.

  • Select Take Deposit from the dropdown list.

  • A side pop-up will appear with the deposit amount pre-populated.

Step 3: Choose a Payment Method

  • You will be given three payment options:

    1. Cash – If the customer is paying in cash.

    2. Card – To process the deposit via card.

    3. Bank Transfer – If the deposit is being made through a bank transfer.

  • Select the appropriate payment method and confirm the transaction.

Alternative Method: Customer Pays via Booking Confirmation Link

Customers can also pay the deposit themselves through the booking confirmation link.

Step 1: Customer Clicks "Book Now"

  • The customer receives a Booking Confirmation Email.

  • Inside the email, they click on "Book Now".

Step 2: Choose Payment Option

  • Customers can choose between:

    • Bank Transfer

    • Card Payment

  • If paying via Bank Transfer, they must upload a receipt for verification.

Note: If the customer uploads a bank transfer receipt, you can view it under: Files & Photos Section (in the lead summary) and Payments Table (by clicking the three dots next to the listed payment).

Step 2: Payment Confirmation

  • Once the payment is made, the deposit will be automatically reflected in the job’s finances section within the MoverMate system.
