Customising Document Templates in MoverMate

In MoverMate, users can customise a selection of predefined document templates. These templates are essential for your business operations, such as invoices, payment receipts, estimates, and more.

List of Editable Documents (PDF):

  1. Payment Receipt

  2. Terms and Conditions

  3. Estimate

  4. Booking Confirmation

  5. Invoice

Access the Document Templates Section

  1. Navigate to Settings in your MoverMate dashboard.

  2. Under Settings, find Templates and click on Documents.

Select the Template to Customise

  1. In the Documents section, you'll see a list of available templates.

  2. Choose the template you wish to customise (e.g., Invoice, Terms and Conditions, etc.).

  3. Click on the edit icon next to the selected template.

Customise the Document Content

  1. Edit Text: Modify the text in the document as needed. You can change the language, format, or sections.

  2. Adjust Layout: You can add new sections or rearrange the existing ones.

  3. Merge Tags (Dynamic Tags):

    • Merge tags are dynamic placeholders that pull information like client name, booking number, etc., into your document.

    • Add Merge Tags: To insert a merge tag, right-click inside a text box and select the Merge Tags dropdown. Choose the tag you want (e.g., [ClientName], [BookingDate]) and insert it where needed.

Customise the Design Elements

  1. Adjust Background: You can change the background colour of sections or add background images to make the document visually appealing.

  2. Columns and Layout: If you want a more organized layout, you can use the Columns block to divide content into sections.

  3. Padding and Border: You can adjust the padding and borders of sections for a cleaner layout.

Insert Merge Tags for Dynamic Content

  1. Access Merge Tags: Right-click inside any text box where you want dynamic content.

  2. Select Merge Tag: From the dropdown menu, choose the appropriate merge tag (e.g., [ClientName], [JobNumber]).

  3. Insert the Tag: Click the tag you want, and it will automatically be placed in your document.

Add Call-to-Action (CTA) Links

  1. Choose CTA Button or Text: Select the text or button where you want to add a link (e.g., for booking or inventory).

  2. Open Link Settings: Right-click the button or text and choose to insert a link.

  3. Use Merge Tags for URL: Insert the appropriate merge tag in the URL field, such as:

    • [BookingLink] for booking URL

    • [InventoryLink] for inventory URL

    • [JobSheetLink] for the job sheet URL

  4. Set Link Target: Choose whether you want the link to open in the same tab or a new tab.

    • To open in a new tab, select Target: New Tab.

    • To open in the same tab, select Target: Same Tab.

  5. Save Changes: Click Save after inserting the link and setting the target.

Preview the Document

  1. Preview on Different Devices: After customizing the document, preview how it will appear on different devices (like desktop, tablet, or mobile) to ensure responsiveness.

  2. Check Layout: Make sure all elements are properly aligned, and adjust if necessary.

Save Your Customization

  1. Once you're happy with the customized content and layout, click Save to finalize the changes to the template.
