Efficient inventory management is key to ensuring smooth operations in your moving business. With Movermate's system inventory management, you can organize, track, and categorize your moving items seamlessly.
Access System Inventory
To begin managing your inventory:
Navigate to Settings from the left sidebar.
Under the Inventory section, click on System Inventory.
Here, you will be able to view and manage your inventory items, along with their dimensions and volume.
Create a Category
Before adding any items, you first need to create a category. This helps in organizing your inventory based on different types of items (e.g., Kitchen, Bedroom, Garage, etc.).
To create a new category:
Click on the + Add Category button located at the top right corner of the inventory page.
In the pop-up window, enter the Category Name (e.g., Kitchen, Living Room, Garage).
Click Create to add the category.
Add an Item to the Category
Once you've created a category, you can add inventory items under it:
After selecting the desired category (e.g., Garage), click the + Add Item button.
A pop-up window will appear asking for the following details:
Item Name
Dimensions (Length, Width, Height in cm)
Volume (This will be calculated automatically based on the provided dimensions)
You can also upload an image of the item for better identification.
After filling in the details, click Create to add the item under the selected category.
Note: Users can directly input the total volume without having to specify length, width, and height.
Edit an Existing Item
To modify any item:
Click the pencil icon next to the item in the inventory list.
A pop-up window will allow you to edit the item’s name, and dimensions, or upload a new image.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Delete an Item
To remove an item from your inventory:
Click the trash icon next to the item you want to delete.
Confirm the deletion to permanently remove the item from the system.
View Inventory Information
In the System Inventory page, you can view:
Item Name
Dimensions (Length x Width x Height)
Volume (m³) – automatically calculated from the dimensions.
Organize and Filter Inventory
To quickly locate a specific item or category:
Use the Search bar at the top to find items by name.
Click on a category to view only items under that category.
Customize Inventory Display
You can filter or sort your inventory based on:
Volume
Dimensions
Item Name
This makes it easier to manage large inventories by viewing only the relevant items.
