1. Open the Related Job
Log in to your Movermate CRM.
Open the required Job.
Go to the Finances section.
Locate the Credit Notes table.
This section displays Credit Notes associated with the selected Job.
2. Understand the Job Credit Notes Table
The Credit Notes section displays information such as:
Amount: Total Credit Note value.
Credit Note: Credit Note reference number.
Remaining: Unused credit amount.
Created: Date the Credit Note was created.
Description: Additional details entered for the credit.
You can use this information to review the credit adjustments associated with the Job.
3. Manage a Credit Note from the Job
Find the required Credit Note in the Job's Finances section.
Click the three dots (⋮) beside it.
Choose the required action.
Available actions include:
Edit
Apply Credit
Delete
Some actions may be restricted depending on the Credit Note's application status.
4. Add a Credit Note from the Job
You can create a Credit Note without leaving the Job.
Open the Job.
Go to Finances.
Find the Credit Notes section.
Click + Add Credit Note.
Enter the required details.
Create the Credit Note.
Alternatively, use Actions → Add Credit Note from the Job.
5. Find the Related Invoice
To review how applied credit affects an invoice:
Go to Finance → Invoices.
Find the invoice associated with the Job or the invoice to which the Credit Note was applied.
Review its invoice amount, recorded payments, outstanding balance and status.
An applied Credit Note reduces the invoice's outstanding balance.
Note: A Credit Note does not create a payment transaction. The invoice's Paid amount and outstanding Balance should be reviewed separately.
6. Review Credit Notes from Finance
You can also find Credit Notes from the main Finance section.
Go to Finance → Credit Notes.
Find the required Credit Note.
Review its Job ID and Invoice Number columns.
Check the Applied and Balance amounts.
This is useful when a customer has multiple Jobs or invoices.
7. Understand Job and Invoice Balances
When reviewing a Job's financial records or its associated invoices, consider applied Credit Notes separately from recorded payments.
For example:
Description | Amount |
Job Total | $500.00 |
Applied Credit Note | -$100.00 |
Payments Received | -$200.00 |
Outstanding Balance | $200.00 |
If an invoice shows an unexpected balance, review the applied Credit Notes and recorded Payments before making further adjustments.
Important Reminders
Credit Notes linked to a Job can be found under Job → Finances.
A Credit Note may also be created directly from a Job.
Applied credit and received payments are separate financial records.
Credit Notes can affect the amount outstanding on an associated invoice.
Always review the related invoice balance when checking a Job's financial summary.
