1. Open Credit Notes
Log in to your Movermate CRM.
Go to Finance → Credit Notes.
Find the Credit Note you want to apply.
Click the three dots (⋮) beside the Credit Note.
Select Apply to Invoice.
The Apply Credit to Invoice panel will open.
2. Review the Available Credit
The panel displays the selected Credit Note's information, including:
Credit Note number
Customer
Remaining Credit
Check the remaining credit before selecting an invoice.
Note: Only the available credit can be applied to an invoice.
3. Find the Outstanding Invoice
The panel displays outstanding invoices associated with the customer.
You can use the Search field to find an invoice by:
Invoice Number
Job ID
The invoice list displays information such as:
Invoice Number
Job ID
Due Date
Invoice Amount
Outstanding Balance
Select the invoice you want to credit.
If you need to create a new invoice, a Create Invoice option is also available from this panel.
4. Apply the Credit
Select the required invoice.
Review its outstanding balance.
Review the amount being applied and click the confirmation button to apply the credit to the selected invoice.
Return to the Credit Notes list to review the updated amounts.
The applied credit reduces the invoice's outstanding balance.
5. Understand Partial Credit Application
A Credit Note is Partially Applied when only a portion of its total amount has been used, leaving credit available for another eligible invoice.
Example:
Description | Amount |
Credit Note Amount | $500.00 |
Applied to Invoice | $200.00 |
Remaining Credit | $300.00 |
In this example:
$200 has been used to reduce the invoice balance.
$300 remains available.
The Credit Note status becomes Partially Applied.
The remaining credit can be applied to another eligible invoice.
6. Understand Full Credit Application
A Credit Note becomes Fully Applied when its entire available amount has been used.
Example:
Description | Amount |
Credit Note Amount | $250.00 |
Applied Credit | $250.00 |
Remaining Credit | $0.00 |
The Credit Note status becomes Fully Applied.
If the credit also covers the invoice's entire outstanding balance, the invoice balance becomes $0.
7. Apply Multiple Credit Notes to an Invoice
You can use more than one Credit Note to reduce an invoice's outstanding balance.
For example:
Description | Amount |
Invoice Total | $1,000.00 |
First Credit Note | -$100.00 |
Second Credit Note | -$150.00 |
Remaining Balance | $750.00 |
Each Credit Note remains a separate financial record.
8. Check the Updated Invoice Balance
After applying a Credit Note:
Go to Finance → Invoices.
Find the relevant invoice.
Review its Amount, Paid, Balance and Status.
Confirm that the outstanding balance reflects the applied credit.
Note: Applying a Credit Note reduces the outstanding balance but does not increase the amount recorded as a payment received.
Important Reminders

Only available credit can be used.
The same credit amount cannot be applied twice.
A Credit Note can be partially or fully applied.
