How to Add Moving Hourly Rate Items in Movermate CRM

Updated over 2 months ago

The Moving Hourly Rate section allows you to configure how your hourly moving prices are calculated and applied to customer bookings. This setup directly controls what your customers see on quotes, booking confirmations, and invoices.

Access the Moving Hourly Rate Settings

  1. Log in to your Movermate CRM account.

  2. Navigate to the Settings menu in the left sidebar.

  3. Under the Pricing section, click on Moving Hourly Rate.

Hourly Rate Setup

This section defines your base hourly pricing based on crew size and truck type.

What you can configure

  • Movers – Number of movers included in the job (e.g. 2 Movers).

  • Truck – Truck size or capacity used for the move (e.g. 40 CBM).

  • Minimum Hours – Minimum billable hours for the job.

  • Everyday Rate – Hourly rate applied when prices do not vary by day.

Note: All prices entered here are exclusive of tax.

Price variation by day

Use the toggle “Do your prices vary by days?” if you charge different rates for weekdays, weekends, or specific days. When enabled, you can define separate hourly rates per day.

Add Pricing (Hourly Rate Rule)

Use Add Pricing to create a new hourly rate rule based on crew size, truck size, and job conditions. This determines when a specific hourly rate should apply.

Pricing fields

  • Movers* – Number of movers included in this rate.

  • Truck Size* – Truck capacity associated with this pricing rule.

  • Min Hours* – Minimum billable hours for jobs using this rate.

  • Tax – Select the applicable tax rate (pricing is stored exclusive of tax).

When prices vary by day

If “Do your prices vary by days?” is enabled, you can set different hourly rates for each day of the week:

  • Monday – Sunday* – Enter the hourly rate for each specific day.

This allows you to apply higher or lower rates for weekdays, weekends, or peak-demand days.

When prices do not vary by day

If day-based pricing is turned off, enter a single Price* that applies across all days.

  • Price* – Standard hourly rate for this configuration.

  • Description – Optional notes for internal reference or clarity.

Note: All prices listed in the pricing table are exclusive of taxes.

Automation Rules

Enable Automation Rules to automatically apply this pricing based on job details.

You can define rules using:

  • Job Types* – Select which job types this rate applies to.

  • Min CBM / Max CBM – Apply pricing based on estimated job volume.

  • OR

  • Job Size* and Furnished Type* – Apply pricing based on property size and furnishing level.

Automation rules ensure the correct hourly rate is selected automatically during quoting and booking.

Stair charge settings

  • After how many flights you charge for the stairs?
Specify the number of flights included for free before extra charges apply.

  • Price per flight (Excl Tax)

These charges will be added automatically when stair details are included in a job.

Call out charge details

  • Item Name* – Name of the charge (e.g. Callout Charges).

  • Price (Excl Tax)* – Fixed call-out fee applied to the job.

  • Quantity* – Default quantity applied (usually set to 0 and calculated automatically).

  • Unit* – Pricing unit (commonly Fixed Price).

  • Tax – Applicable tax for the call-out charge.

Enable Automation Rules to automatically apply call-out charges based on job details.

You can configure rules using:

  • Job Types* – Select which job types trigger the call-out charge.

  • Min CBM / Max CBM – Apply the charge based on job volume range.

Automation rules ensure call-out charges are applied only when specific job conditions are met.

Heavy Lift Charges

Heavy lift charges allow you to add fixed fees for moving large or specialised items.

Adding heavy lift items

Click “Add Item” to open the heavy lift item form and configure:

  • Item Name* – Name of the heavy or specialised item (e.g. Piano, Pool Table).

  • Price (Excl Tax)* – Fixed charge applied per item.

  • Description – Optional notes about access, weight, or handling requirements.

Once saved, the heavy lift item can be selected on jobs and will be added automatically to quotes and invoices.
